I entered the contract security career field in September of 1985 through the industrial security trade in Silicon Valley, California.I was the swing shift supervisor on duty when the Loma Prieta earthquake struck in October 1989. In 1995 I took a position on a contract for the General Services Administration, guarding federal properties in San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties. That contract was taken over by the Department of Homeland Security in 2002. I remained on that contract for over 16 years. In 2012, I returned to school, and received an Associate's Degree in Business Administration. Afterwards I took a position as the Human Resource Specialist for the fourth largest contract security company in the country. In September 2015, I became the Human Resources Manager for Northern Californian, overseeing the operations of the branch Human Resources Specialists. I also became a member of the Society for Human Resources Management since 2015. In 2017, I continued to advance in my Human Resources career, by working contract positions at companies with high turnovers, in the warehouse and production industries.
